Men’s Therapy Group in Vienna

A space for men to reflect, connect and develope and expectations

Support after individual therapy, honest exchange and practical strategies for everyday life.

Men’s Group in Vienna

“Men experience things differently — and sometimes they need a different kind of space.”

Many men keep functioning for a long time.

At work.
In relationships.
In everyday life.

Until, at some point, it no longer feels so easy.

What is often missing is a space where men can speak openly — without having to explain themselves, perform, justify or have everything figured out.

This group offers exactly that: a respectful and confidential setting for men to reflect, connect and explore what is really going on beneath the surface.

What the Men’s Therapy Group Is About

This Men’s Therapy Group in Vienna is designed for men who are approaching the end of their individual psychotherapy or have recently completed it.

The group focuses on helping participants:

  • integrate what they have learned into everyday life

  • strengthen emotional stability and resilience

  • continue working on personal challenges

  • recognise and change recurring patterns

  • stay connected to their personal growth instead of slipping back into old habits

In short, this group is about continuing the journey — with the support of others, rather than having to do it alone.

Who Is This Men’s Therapy Group For?

Who Is This Men’s Therapy Group For?

This group is for men:

  • whose individual therapy is approaching its end

  • who are looking for a meaningful transition after individual therapy

  • who want to continue working on personal topics

  • who may benefit from honest exchange with other men

The group may be especially suitable if you:

  • want to try things out in a practical way

  • do not only want to talk about change, but also explore new ways of acting

  • notice that structure, clarity and direct feedback are helpful for you

How we work

The group is practical, focused and grounded in real life.

Together, we work with:

  • real-life situations and everyday challenges

  • individual topics and personal goals

  • experiential exercises and role plays

  • honest, respectful feedback in a supportive group setting

The goal is not to say the "right" things or perform perfectly. It is to gain new experiences, develop new perspectives and try out different ways of relating to yourself and others in a safe and supportive environment.

What to Expect and What We Ask of You

For the group to be meaningful and beneficial for everyone, we ask that you:

  • are willing to talk about your personal experiences and concerns, with support whenever needed

  • are open to actively participating in the group process

  • respect the experiences and perspectives of other participants

  • commit to attending sessions regularly and reliably

This is a therapeutic group based on trust, confidentiality and mutual respect. Together, we create a safe environment where meaningful reflection, honest exchange and personal growth can take place.

Why Join a Men’s Therapy Group?

Many men experience something in this group that is often missing from everyday life:

  • open and straightforward conversations

  • understanding without the need for lengthy explanations

  • honest and constructive feedback

  • genuine connection with other men

For many participants, these shared experiences can open up new perspectives, strengthen self-awareness and support meaningful personal growth in ways they may not have expected.

Strengthening Your Resources and Self-Care

This group helps you reconnect with your personal strengths, abilities and inner resources.

Together, we focus on what already supports you - so that self-care, self-efficacy and stability can become more present in your everyday life.

How Does the Men’s Group Therapy Work?

How the Men’s Therapy Group Works

This men’s therapy group is not only about talking at length about problems. It is about exploring what is happening in everyday life - and finding new ways to respond.

You can bring in real situations from your life: stress, conflicts, pressure, difficult conversations or patterns that seem to repeat themselves.

Together, we take a closer look:

What is actually happening in these situations?
What patterns become visible?
And what could you try to do differently?

A significant part of the work takes place directly within the group.

This may include:

  • practising difficult conversations

  • exploring how to set boundaries

  • trying out new responses

  • reflecting on relationship patterns

  • receiving honest and respectful feedback from other men

The feedback is direct, clear and grounded - without judgement, and always at eye level.

What matters most is that the work does not remain theoretical. You have the opportunity to try things out in the group and take new experiences back into your everyday life.

You decide for yourself how actively you want to participate. Listening is just as welcome as speaking and contributing.

The aim is to help you become more grounded, more self-aware and more confident in dealing with situations that might otherwise lead you back into familiar patterns.

Benefits of Joining a Men’s Therapy Group in Vienna

This group can support you in creating a stable transition from individual therapy into everyday life.

It can help you develop:

  • greater confidence in everyday situations

  • practical strategies instead of theory alone

  • honest exchange with other men

  • a deeper understanding of your own patterns

  • more awareness of your strengths and resources

  • continued personal development beyond individual therapy

Group therapy can offer relief, open up new perspectives and support you in building greater inner stability over time.

Why Men’s Group Therapy Can Be Helpful

Many people experience relief when they realise that they are not alone with their struggles.

In a group setting, it can be powerful to hear:
“I am not the only one who feels this way.”

This shared experience can become an important step toward change. Group therapy offers the opportunity to exchange perspectives, experience understanding and try out new ways of relating to yourself and others in a safe and supportive environment.

Men’s group therapy can support you in understanding yourself more clearly, developing helpful strategies for everyday life and feeling less alone with the challenges you are facing.
